Lost is definitely right up there with Dexter, The Wire, and Arrested Development as one of the top TV series of the 21st century! As a guy who has already seen every single episode of every season of Lost, I am still thinking about ordering the entire series of Lost on Blu-Ray because this is the kind of show that will be very fun to watch a second time (and there’s a lot of awesome extra features included in the complete collection.)
If you are new to this mysterious show then I am jealous of you to be able to experience it for the very first time still. It is really that good of a show. Lost is the kind of TV series that you are probably going to fondly remember for the rest of your life.
To get the most out of the experience you really must buy the complete Lost collection box set and then avoid all spoilers as much as you can. A great part of the show is having the mysteries revealed slowly in amazingly unexpected ways. Do not ruin that by looking up spoilers about the show!
You must also watch it from start to finish with every episode in order. This is a true “serial” program where every single episode leads to the next. It’s all “one big story” instead of a show where every episode (or even season) has it’s own beginning and end.
I must warn you that Lost is very addictive and that if you like it anywhere near as much as I do that you may find yourself watching six episodes in just one sitting (and yes I actually did this on more than one occasion!) It is one of those shows where every episode really has you wanting to know what happens on the next episode.
I should also really mention that this is a people who like to think about things. What is going on will not always be obvious. If you are seeking outs predictable entertainment, you should definitely look elsewhere. You will have to make regular use of your brain as you watch Lost.
